The scale may (not 100% sure) be off, as it seems a little too big. Nevertheless, in the real world where you need your GI Joe to hold the thing, it's the perfect size for most figures to shoulder it. There is one fairly significant issue that is easy to fix. The pistol grip is about twice as thick as any other GI Joe gun, so you can really stretch the hands of your figure. On all of mine, I took an Xacto knife and sliced the pistol grip down to about half its original thickness. It's pretty easy to do and makes the gun work much better.
